"Pastor" Jared Cox Tells Children They Were Abused by Parents - Tries to Force Family to Sell Farm

My husband and I were excited for our son to be involved in a church that would reach out to the Spanish people as well! Our son was given the gift of God to learn their language very quickly and very well! The pastor's sons even enjoyed working with our son. We enjoyed our few visits to the church but it is what goes on behind the scenes that brings destruction to marriages and families. Jared starts by letting them all know they were abused as children and they need to separate from their parents. We didn't agree with our abuse of our son so we were excommunicated. The worst abuse they could come up with was that he drove a combine at 9 years old. We prayed that our son would realize he was not abused but the control of Jared had already sunk in too deep. I went to confront Jared to make an appointment for my husband to try to find a way to restore our relationship with our son as he had blocked us from all communications with him otherwise. He would not make an appointment for us and told me we need to sell our farm and ranch and if my husband would not agree I would need to leave him because he was going to leave me anyways. We thought our son would definitely not agree with that but he agreed with Jared. This is when we knew our son was under coersive control. I left knowing God alone would have to work in the hearts of Jared and our son. We were led to let the supporters know what had been done to prayerfully stop this from happening to other families. We haven't been with our son for years. Jared has our son even excommunicating all his relatives. Grandparents that have been involved in his life since birth, brothers, aunts, uncle's and cousins. The only way for any of us to be with him is to go before Jared's church and apologize. We do not need to apologize for telling the truth! This last year our son was married by Jared and we were not even told or invited. Jared's latest talk was to tell them to put Christ first but he doesn't allow that. If God puts a marriage together Jared thinks he is above God and will separate that marriage even to the point of divorce all because the spouse will not put Jared first. We have been led by Christ to not agree with any man separating what God has put together and that our son was not abused as Jared says so we will never see our son as long as he is putting Jared first. We are led by Christ to believe we are all broken and humbly following Christ as the only way, truth and life. God has a plan for each of us and it is good for all of us to not forget our first love, Christ!
